Falana Sues Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta For $5 Million Over Alleged Privacy Invasion

  Renowned human rights lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria,   Femi Falana,  has filed a $5 million lawsuit against Meta Platforms Inc., the parent company of Facebook, for allegedly invading his privacy. RuliNaija News  gathered that the suit, lodged before a Lagos High Court, accuses the social media giant of falsely associating him with a misleading health advertisement. The Allegations Against Meta Falana contends that Meta, owned by  Mark Zuckerberg , published a video under the name “AfriCare Health Center” on Facebook, falsely claiming that he had been battling prostatitis for over 16 years. Trump Revokes Biden’s Security Clearance In Retaliatory Move

  In a dramatic escalation of political tensions, US President  Donald Trump  has revoked the security clearance of his predecessor, Joe Biden, effectively barring him from receiving classified intelligence briefings. Trump announced the decision via his Truth Social platform, stating that the move was a direct response to Biden’s own actions in 2021, when he ordered intelligence agencies to halt security briefings for the former president in the wake of the January 6 Capitol attack.  “There is no need for Joe Biden to continue receiving access to classified information. Price Of Refilling Cooking Gas Per Kg In Nigeria

  As of February 8, 2025, the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), commonly known as  cooking gas , in Nigeria has seen significant fluctuations over the past year. In October 2024, reports indicated that the price had risen to approximately ₦1,500 per kilogram, up from ₦700 per kilogram in June 2023, marking a 114% increase over 16 months. However, recent data suggests a slight decrease in prices. As of February 7, 2025, depot prices for a 20 metric ton (MT) load were listed as follows: NIPCO: ₦19,400,000 NAVGAS: ₦19,500,000 MATRIX: ₦22,500,000 These depot prices translate to an average of approximately ₦1,200 to ₦1,300 per kilogram, depending on the supplier.   The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT),  Nyesom Wike , has approved the allocation of ₦3.6 billion to establish three police divisional headquarters and accompanying staff quarters in the Kuje, Gwagwalada, and Kwali Area Councils. Ruli Naija News  reports that the Director of the Security Services Department at the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA),  Adamu Gwary,  made this known in Abuja on Thursday during a press briefing regarding the outcomes of the first FCT Executive Committee meeting of 2025. Premier League Confirms 13 VAR Errors Have Been Recorded This Season

  The Premier League  has confirmed that 13 Video Assistant Referee (VAR) errors were recorded in the first 23 matches played this season as the league makes significant strides in addressing the challenges identified so far. Note that the 13 errors identified so far in this season’s Premier League campaign indicate a noticeable improvement from the 20 errors documented at the same stage last season. These errors consist of four incorrect VAR interventions and nine missed interventions, as highlighted by the Key Match Incidents panel. The spokesperson for the correctional facility,  Yinka Odukoya , confirmed on Wednesday that the monarch remained in custody. According to The Punch, Odukoya explained that Ogunjobi had not met the court’s bail requirements and would remain incarcerated until these conditions were fulfilled. Three Suspects Arrested In Imo With Human Skull, Ritual Items

  The Imo State  Police  Command have arrested three individuals in possession of a human skull and other suspicious items along the Okigwe-Umuahia Expressway. The Command’s spokesperson,  Henry Okoye  confirmed that the suspects were detained on Monday after a joint operation between the Okigwe divisional police and the residents of Ogii community. The three detained suspects— Patrick Okoere  (29),  Ifeanyichukwu Anyaemeka  (28), and  Chukwuemeka Onyekachi  (20)—are now under investigation. Okoye stated that one of the suspects, Patrick Okoere, claimed during questioning that his uncle had instructed him to obtain a human skull. Okoere further revealed that he allegedly found the skull near a riverbank along the Okigwe-Umuahia Expressway.
